About Leaf Collection
I'm happy to introduce my first collection, "Leaf Collection". I enjoy designing and making every individual/unique piece. The leaf collection was inspired by the park-like settings of my neighborhood, Hollin Hills. I've discovered in my natural surroundings, countless plants and it's diverse habitat during the pandemic. During Covid 19, as with so many people, I spent most of my time at home and within my neighborhood.
During my retreats into nature, I started to collect leaves from my surroundings. These leaves became my inspiration for the unique leaf patterns in this collection. Collected leaf specimens were painted or printed with non-toxic ink on canvas, in a slow, measured process. Every piece bares an individual leaf unique pattern similar to what is found in nature.
My canvas is natural sustainable fiber: %100 linen and cotton. I wanted to use natural sustainable fibers that are representative of the beauty of nature. As an architect, I know each project is as unique as the individual. As a result, I've created a great range of practical products that are unique and perfectly imperfect as you find in nature.
